Highlights from the MetReal Cluster meeting in Bonn
The representatives from the MetReal Cluster projects gathered on the 31st of October in Bonn, Germany. Coordinated by the Real4Reg project team, the meeting was an opportunity to discuss collaborative opportunities to enhance stakeholder engagement and streamline cross-project communication. The cluster comprises six EU-funded sister projects: Real4Reg, ONCOVALUE, REEDIE, More-EUROPA, INSAFEDARE and REALM. The joint efforts aim to advance RWD use for research and regulatory purposes.
Dr Gökhan Ertaylan (VITO) attended the meeting in person and participated in two sessions: project presentations and interactive workshops. In the first session, each project shared updates on their progress, research findings, stakeholder engagement activities, and upcoming activities. This open exchange allowed participants to ask questions and identify potential synergies.
In the afternoon, Peter Mol, coordinator of More-EUROPA, led a workshop on communication strategies. The session highlighted the importance of aligning stakeholder engagement efforts across projects, focusing on coordinated communication strategies to amplify project outcomes, especially regarding the training sessions. ONCOVALUE coordinator Pekka Kahri followed with an interactive session and group discussion to brainstorm collaborative opportunities.
The meeting concluded with Britta Haenisch from the Real4Reg team, who outlined the next steps for future MetReal stakeholder activities.
We are thrilled with the progress made and look forward to the collaborative potential this workshop has unlocked. The next joint activity is planned for February 2025. To learn more about our related projects, visit https://www.realm-ai.eu/resources/related-projects.
