REALM Consortium Aligns for Final Project Year
The REALM consortium met online last week to align partners ahead of the project’s periodic reporting phase and to discuss priorities for the year ahead, which marks the final year of the project. The meeting highlighted strong overall progress across work packages and a shared focus on demonstrating the value of REALM’s results to regulators, HTA bodies, and other stakeholders.
A key highlight was the continued development of the REALM Academy, which was successfully launched in 2025 as a central platform for capacity building and knowledge exchange. Through webinars, trainings, and workshops, the Academy has already engaged a broad European stakeholder community and supported dialogue on the use of real-world data and AI in regulatory decision-making.
Building on this momentum, the consortium confirmed ambitious plans for 2026, including additional targeted workshops and webinars, expanded training materials, and stronger engagement with external stakeholders. These activities aim to further strengthen the uptake, understanding, and long-term impact of REALM outcomes beyond the project’s lifetime.
The next REALM Academy webinar will cover how real-world health data (RWD) can be used in a secure, GDPR-compliant, and federated way to support the evaluation of AI as a medical device across Europe.
