REALM Online Training for HTA Agencies and regulators in AI-Powered Medical Device Software Evaluation
As part of the REALM Academy, REALM is inviting Health Technology Assessment (HTA) agencies and regulatory bodies across Europe to join an interactive two-day online training on 11th and 12th June (9:30–11:30 CET) to explore the challenges of evaluating AI-based medical device software and discover how REALM’s tools can support them.
As the adoption of AI in healthcare accelerates, HTA agencies are increasingly tasked with evaluating complex, dynamic medical device software solutions that challenge traditional assessment methods. From performance drift and reliance on real-world data to navigating GDPR, MDR, and the AI Act frameworks, agencies face a growing number of hurdles in ensuring safe, effective, and trustworthy evaluations. This training will help agencies understand these complexities and offer a space to discuss real-world issues they face.
Day 1 will focus on the key challenges in evaluating AI medical device software, using a practical case study.
Day 2 will showcase how REALM’s tools, including the Data Resources Catalogue, Regulatory Toolbox, Blockchain Framework, and Evaluation Methodologies that can help make evaluations more efficient, transparent, and standardised.
HTA agencies will also have the chance to provide direct feedback and help shape the future of REALM, ensuring it meets their practical needs.
This is your opportunity to contribute to a European-wide effort to make AI evaluations more robust and trustworthy.
